Not knowing how you feel right now is absolutely normal. As you develop your awareness of yourself, you are then able to better map out your emotions, figure out your triggers and gain perspective on what you value and how you would like to present yourself.

Here is a fun tool called the Atlas of emotions. The Atlas of Emotion is a tool to help people better understand what emotions are, how they are triggered and what their effects are, and how to become aware of themselves.

Also, check out this Youtube channel dedicated to teaching the practice of Tai Chi. It is believed that the purpose of most Taoist Chi Gung is to make your body as relaxed, loose and full of energy as you were as a child. When you feel drained, this is an excellent low impact way of gaining energy while also staying aware of areas where you hold tension and diffusing them.

HOW TO ACCESS WELLNESS SERVICES?

All students can reach out to their wellness counsellors or peer counsellors and wellness interns for assistance. The profiles of the staff members along with their email address can be found on the wellness website. It is also on the website where students can book wellness sessions with the counsellors. The website can be accessed here. Students can also directly email ALU wellness through our email address: wellness@alueducation.com

WHO ARE YOUR WELLNESS INTERNS?

Beyond the services that they provide through wellness programming and peer-led wellness conversations, wellness interns are also available to help you with your medical concerns. You can reach out to them via email for assistance or book office hours with them for times that they will be working from the wellness centres on both campuses. FIRST AID EMERGENCY

Your residential advisors and housing assistants have received training on how to provide first aid services. If you are on campus and you are in need of any such assistance, please contact them. The residences also 1st aid kits that can be used to address some 1st aid emergencies, to access these, you can call on your Head residential advisor or your floor supervisor.
